SITAGLIPTIN (AS PHOSPHATE MONOHYDRATE) + METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE
XIGLIP M 50MG / 500MG FILM-COATED TABLET
Indication*
For adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus: Sitaglipitin nad metformin hydrochloride film coated tablets is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients inadequately controlled on their maximal tolerated dose of metformin alone or those already being treated with the combination of sitagliptin and metformin. Sitagliptin and metformin hydrochloride film coated tablets is indicated in combination witha sulphonylurea (i.e., triple combiantion therapy) as an adjunct to diet and exercise in patients inadequately controlled on their maximal tolerated dose of metformin and a sulphonylurea. Sitagliptin and metformin hydrochloride film coated tablets is indicated as triple combination therapy with a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARY) agonist (i.e., a thiazolidinedione) as an adjunct to diet and exercise in patients inadequately controlled on their maximal tolerated dose of metformin and a PPARY agonist. Sitagliptin and metformin hydrochloride is also indicated as add-on to insulin (i.e., triple combination therapy) as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients when stable dose of insulin and metformin alone do not provide adequate glycemic control.
Directions for Use*
Sitagliptin 50mg & metformin 500mg bid. Patients already treated with metformin Initially sitagliptin 50mg bid & the dose of metformin already being taken.
Administration*
Should be taken with food.
