CHD. Reduction of total LDL-cholesterol, apolipoprotein B & triglycerides in the treatment of hyperlipidemia including hypercholesterolemia, adjunct therapy for homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia & ischemic heart disease.

CHD Initially, 20 mg once daily at bedtime, may increase at 4 week intervals to max 80 mg/day. Hyperlipidemia 10-20 mg once daily at bedtime. Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia 40 mg once daily at bedtime or 80 mg/day in 3 divided doses (20,20 & 40 mg in the morning, afternoon & evening). Renal insufficiency 5-10 mg.

May be taken with or without food: Avoid excessive consumption (> 1L/day) of grapefruit juice.
