Indication*
Type 2 DM: As monotherapy in patients inadequately controlled by diet & exercise for whom metformin is inappropriate because of contraindications or intolerance. As dual therapy in combination with metformin in patients with insufficient glycemic control despite maximal tolerated dose of monotherapy with metformin. As triple oral therapy in combination with metformin & sulphonylurea in patients with insufficient glycemic control despite dual oral therapy.
Directions for Use*
Initially 15-30 mg once daily increased to 45 mg once daily according to response. May be increased increments up to 45 mg once daily.
Administration*
May be taken with or without food.
