Used for the chronic treatment and management of asthma in children aged 2 to 5 years, including the prevention of both day and night time symptoms. This medication is also indicated for the prevention of breathing difficulties caused by exercise in patients 2 years of age and older. Furthermore, it provides effective relief for the symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis.

Dosage for Kids 6–14 years old: 5 mg taken once daily in the evening for asthma or allergic rhinitis treatment. Dosage for Kids 6–14 years old (EIB Prevention): 5 mg should be taken at least 2 hours before exercise. Do not take an additional dose within 24 hours of a previous dose. Age Restriction: Not recommended for children under 6 years old for this 5 mg strength. Maximum Daily Dosage: Do not exceed 5 mg in 24 hours for children 6–14 years old.
