Indication*
Irbesartan is used in the management of hypertension including the treatment of renal disease in hypertensive diabetic patients.

Directions for Use*
HTN Initially 150mg once daily. Titrate dose to 300mg once daily if further reduction in BP is required. Nephropathy in Type 2 diabetic patient Initially 150mg once daily. Maintenance dose: 300mg once daily. Dosage in vol-& salt-depleted patient (eg, treated vigorously with diuretics or on hemodialysis) Initially 75mg once daily. Elderly (>75 year) Initially 75mg once daily.
Administration*
May be taken with or without food.
