Robitussin DM temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with a cold and expectorant actions to help loosen phlegm and thin bronchial secretion to make cough more productive. It also helps relieve chest congestion.

Adult to children 12 year 10mL every 6 hour. Children 6 to <12 year mL every 6 hour. Do not exceed 4 doses in any 24-hour period. Children 2 to <6 year 2.5 mL/dose. Max: 10mL daily. Missed Dose: This medicine needs to be given on a fixed schedule. Take the missed dose as soon as the patient remembers. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continued the regular dosing schedule. Do not take double dose to make up for the missed one.

May be taken with or without food.
