Indication*

Co-amoxiclav 457 mg/5ml Powder for Oral Suspension is indicated for the treatment of the following infections in adults and children: Acute bacterial sinusitis (adequately diagnosed), Acute otitis media, Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis (adequately diagnosed), Community acquired pneumonia, Cystitis, Pyelonephritis, Skin and soft tissue infections in particular cellulitis, animal bites, severe dental abscess with spreading cellulitis, Bone and joints infections, in particular osteomyelitis,Consideration should be given to official guidance on the appropriate use of antibacterial agents.

Directions for Use*

Slowly add boiled & cooled water up to the mark on the bottle. Shake vigorously Adjust the volume up to the mark by adding more water, if necessary. This makes 70mL of the suspension. After reconstitution keep the suspension in the refrigerator when not in use. Use the reconstituted suspension within 7 days.

Administration*

Doses are expressed throughout in terms of Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid content except when doses are stated in terms of an individual component.
