Indication*
Post menopausal osteoporosis; renal osteodystrophy in patients w/ chronic renal failure; post surgical hypoparathyroidism; idiopathic hypoparathyroidism; pseudohypoparathyroidism; vit D-dependent rickets.
Directions for Use*
Adult Postmenopausal osteoporosis 0.25 mcg bid. Renal osteodistrophy in dialysis patient Initially 0.25 mcg, may be increased by 0.25 mcg daily at 2-4 wk intervals. Childn 1-5 yr (w/ hypoparathyroidism) 0.25-0.75 mcg/day. Hypoparathyroidism & rickets 0.25 mcg daily in the morning, may be increased at 2-4 wk intervals.
Administration*
May be taken with or without food; Take with meals to reduce GI discomfort.
