Indication*
Infections due to susceptible organisms, including biliary-tract infections, bronchitis, endocarditis, epiglottitis, gastroenteritis (including E. coli enteritis, salmonella enteritis & shigellosis), gonorrhea, listeriosis, bacterial meningitis, otitis media, peritonitis, pneumonia, septicemia, typhoid & parathyroid fever & UTI.

Directions for Use*
Respiratory tract & soft tissue infections Patient >40kg 250-500mg IM/IV 6 hourly, <40kg 25-50mg/kg 6-8 hourly in equally divided doses. GI & GUT infections Patient >40kg 500mg IM/IV 6 hourly, <40kg 50mg/kg/day 6-8 hourly in equally divided doses. Gonorrhea Adult 500mg IM/IV 8-12 hourly in 2 doses, repeated if necessary. Adult & children Bacterial meningitis 150-300mg/kg 3-4 hourly in equally divided doses. Septicemia 150-200mg/kg. Initially, administer IV for at least 3 days & continue IM 3-4 hourly.
