This medicine is used for the relief of cough secondary to acute and chronic disease of the respiratory tract accompanied by excessive lung secretions such as chronic bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis and bronchial asthma.

Childre: 1-2 2.5 mL (1/2 teaspoonful every 12 hours) 3-6 years 2.5 mL (1/2 teaspoonful every 8 hours), 7-12 years 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) every 8 to 12 hours. Adult and children above 12 years 10 mL (2 teaspoonful) every 12 hours. Or, as recommended by a doctor. This regimen may be used for the treatment of acute disorders and for the initial treatment of chronic conditions up to 14 days; then the dosage may be reduced to half.

This medicine should be taken orally (by mouth), preferably after a meal.
