Indication*
Is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with both dapagliflozin and metformin is appropriate: for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise. For the prevention of new or worsening heart failure or cardiovascular death (see Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics under Actions). For the prevention of new or worsening nephropathy (see Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics under Actions).

Directions for Use*
Dapagliflozin 10mg once daily. Starting dose: Metformin 500mg once daily, which can be titrated to 2,000 mg once daily with gradual dose escalation.
Administration*
Should be taken with food: Take with evening meal. Swallow whole, do not crush/cut/chew.
